Oh Bother... I've got a rumbly in my tumbly and a movie night on my mind.
Disney's Christopher Robin is available on Blu-ray and digital on 11/6 and I've created the PERFECT snack to pair with it!
What’s more appropriate than popcorn to munch on while watching a movie?! I was feeling super inspired by Pooh Bear (and his love for honey) to jazz up my popcorn and turn it into a yummy Hundred Acre Wood snack mix. Playing with the classic combination of sweet + salty plus adding in some fun surprises for a delicious and whimsical nod to that willy nilly silly old bear. The best part about this fun snack is you can easily customize it to whatever YOU want! With holiday parties coming up, it's a good time to start thinking of unique gift ideas. Whip up a batch of this snack mix and gift a DVD copy of Christopher Robin to a Disney-loving friend or family member.
I hope you enjoy this recipe, I promise it's sooo easy.
Ingredients you’ll need:
-A smackerel of honey
-Your favorite kind of popcorn
-Honey Comb Cereal
-Honey Roasted Peanuts
-Your favorite kind of chocolate (I like white for an extra sweet bite)
-Optional: red food coloring to add to white chocolate. This would be a nice addition if you want your mix to have a more vibrant pop of color mirroring Pooh's iconic style.
Supplies you’ll need:
-A few small bowls to separate/measure the amounts of ingredients you'll want to use
-Large bowl to mix everything together
-Small bowl to melt chocolate
-Craft paper/sheet pan for Teddy Grahams
-Optional: Black sharpie
*You can find the little pots in varying sizes at most crafts stores. This step isn't necessary but it was very inexpensive and quick to do so it would be a great gesture for a hostess gift or to give guests at your own movie night!*
It's as easy as...
1. Pop popcorn.
2. Melt white chocolate for about 30 seconds in the microwave, stir, then drizzle on top of Teddy Grahams... let chocolate dry before adding to snack mixture.
3. Mix the chocolate-y Teddy Grahams, popcorn, pretzel sticks, peanuts, Honey Comb all together.
4. Generously drizzle honey on top.
