Welcome to my favorite little corner of our home... my office!
Scott and I built our current house so we got to design everything about it... which has always been our dream! As soon as I spotted this loft area in one of the floor plan options, I knew exactly what I wanted. I imagined all the warm light coming in from the massive window and I could already picture feeling inspired in my bright space. We have four bedrooms but I never wanted to use one for my office because I love that this "room" is open. My vision for my office vibe started from this incredibly unique and beautiful chair my mom bought me for Christmas. I had wanted it for awhile and she was so nice to get it for me which made it the statement piece that sourced all my inspiration. I loved it so much that I bought another to make it a pair and from there everything just fell into place. (Don't you love when that happens?) My overall style is a mix of modern + bohemian, always light + bright, hints of eclectic with pops of color. I know that is a little all over the place... but it makes me happy and I'm so content in my cozy corner. Truthfully my time in my office usually looks like me just sitting at my desk on my computer for hours. I work best when everything surrounding me is tidy and minimal but I definitely enjoy fun knick knacks to catch my eye. My shelves are simple but filled with a combination of pretty things, colorful containers that hold practical things and my favorite books. My gallery wall is a collection of wedding photos, family photos, a special shot of myself in Magic Kingdom during sunrise as well as a few magical prints. Having all my frames sit on shelves is so nice because I can easily change up the photos, arrangement and style as often as I'd like. Hanging across from my main sitting area, I have two wood signs that incorporate two of my favorite sayings ever. By far the sweetest little thing in this room is Rosie! She is always by my side so if I'm in here working then chances are she's napping at my feet or sitting across from me waiting for me to stop and play with her. Haha.
At the very bottom of this post I've linked as many things as I can find available online.
Picture frames are from Ikea (very inexpensive & I'm happy with the quality)
Frame shelves are from Ikea (I paired multiple ones together to create the length I wanted)
Colorful baskets are from Target a few months ago.
Pooh Bear box is from Tokyo Disneyland.
Wooden boxes are from Anthropologie around 2 years ago.
Letter boxes can be purchased from Amazon, Target, or pretty much any craft store.
I hope you enjoyed this peak into my home! What other spaces are you curious to see next?
